The City That Never Sleeps - New York Trip #2

Welcome Back!

It feels good to be blogging again. I figured I had so many photos that remain unseen and just take up too much space on my hard drive, so I might as well do something with them. So here they are.  I find it somewhat therapeutic. Editing, writing, and just sharing it with whomever.  It's not like anyone else will read this besides my sister and my boyfriend. :)

So in the midst of all the midterm chaos, Brian, my baby sister, and I decided to fly out to the Big Apple about 3 weeks ago just cause. (jk, we've really been wanting to go). Here's a quick glimpse.  It's only a couple of pictures out of the billion that's on my desktop, but it's a good start I guess.  Better late than never.

Rockefeller Center is not the same when it's not Christmas time.  Although they do have the ice skating rink, it doesn't have the holiday feeling because the huge tree isn't there.  But, it was still pretty when we went.
The view from the Top of the Rock was just breath taking.  I'm pretty sure we spent an hour taking pictures of the same thing, but we enjoyed it.  (Plus we paid quite a bit so we weren't just going to snap a photo and leave.)

Concrete Jungle
Plus they said the best view of the Empire State Building is from Top of the Rock.  You can't exactly see the empire if you're standing right on top of it, which is what we did on our first trip to New York, but the view from up there was just as amazing.

Subways. It's like a love/hate relationship. I really love the way it works and being able to basically go anywhere with just the subway, but it could be really creepy, dirty and smelly down there.  I could just imagine how it's like down there in the summer.

I wanted to include this little hole in the wall restaurant called Ipuddo because I kid you not, when we walked in, I asked for a table for three and he told me the wait time was 3 HOURS. Call us crazy because we waited.

Sorry, I just had to add this. Apparently Brian sounds like Jaime.. Oh starbucks. The worst spelling of Brian that I've seen by far. HAHA :)
Anyway,  I miss everything about it.  It was our second trip and we still weren't able to see it all.  I find myself always asking for a vacation from our vacation because we were literally on our feet the entire day just roaming around and trying to see it all in the small amount of time we had there.  But getting lost in the city is really the only way to get to know it.  I feel so blessed that we were able to do it again and just cannot wait to go again. :) I have a list of a lot of places you should hit up when you're in the city so let me know if you want it.
